Urban Bloom Color Lab explores how trees, plants, and urban environments shape the color identity of cities. Our research currently focuses on Houston, where we study the colors of urban nature and the built environment through visual research, color mapping, and design‑based analysis. By revealing the hidden palettes of Houston’s neighborhoods, we help people see their surroundings with deeper awareness and connection.
Our Work
We study the colors of urban nature and the built environment to help people understand their surroundings with deeper clarity and appreciation. Our research spans three layers of the city:

• All plant life, from flowers to grasses
• Full urban color, including architecture and materials
